The Matthew Micallef St. John Athletics Stadium will host Athletics and Para Athletics at Malta 2027. As Malta’s national athletics venue, the stadium forms part of the wider Marsa Sports Complex that will serve as a key multi-sport hub for the Games, hosting Athletics and Para Athletics, Squash and Weightlifting competitions.

As Malta’s premier track and field facility, The Matthew Micallef St. John Athletics Stadium provides a modern stage for the next generation of Commonwealth athletes to compete and celebrate together. The venue reflects Malta’s continued investment in youth sport and high-performance facilities.
This venue was recently used to host Athletics during the 2023 Games of Small States of Europe hosted in Malta from 28 May to 03 June 2023.
